Student assistance
After graduation, international students desire to work in Finland, but they frequently lack the professional networks within the Finnish workforce that would help them gain an advantage in the job market.

To address this issue, we established the HelsinkiUNI International Talent Programme (HITP), a group mentorship initiative that matches foreign students with Finnish organizations and businesses that may mentor them and provide information about their fields of expertise.

We also offer a group-mentoring program for alumni and friends of the university to help out international students.

housing solutions
With a huge common room, two kitchens, a fireplace, two saunas, and accommodation for up to 92 people, the student dormitory is the biggest and has all of these amenities.

Our longer-term guests often stay in Piikala and Herrala, two smaller dorms.instructors and seminar planners. Each of these residence halls includes a separate kitchen and common area, and Piikala also has a sauna.

If you want to bring your animal with you, The Station also has pet rooms. Please be sure to enquire about their availability well in advance. Please be aware that pet rooms are extra expensive.

In Piikala, washers and dryers can be rented for a modest cost. The student dormitory has laundry and drying facilities that are accessible to students.
