The law provides a legal framework for the Council to coordinate the provision of technical education and training and establish an effective national qualifications system that ensures that technical institutions’ products are of high quality and responsive to the changing needs as well as technological innovations in the country.

Qualifications for admission to diploma health colleges

In order to be accepted in various health related diploma such as Ordinary Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery, Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Ordinary Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Dentistry, Ordinary Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology and others, applicants must be a Form four graduate with Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Applicants with a pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language will be given priority.

Qualifications for Joining Health Colleges Certificate Level

In order to be accepted in various health related diploma such as Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences, applicant must be a form four graduate and holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a minimum four passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences.
