A nucleus to provide policy guidance and services to modern, commercial, competitive and efficient agricultural and cooperative systems by 2025

Our mission

To provide high quality agricultural and cooperative services, provide an enabling environment for stakeholders, build the capacity of local government authorities and facilitate effective private sector contribution to sustainable agricultural production, productivity and cooperative development, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will do this by:
Formulating, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of relevant policies in the agricultural sector and monitoring of the Crop Regulatory Corporation;
Collaborate with the private sector, local government and other service providers to provide relevant technical services in research, extension, irrigation, plant protection, crop enhancement, land use, mechanization, agricultural inputs, information services and collaborative development; Nafasi za Kazi Wizara ya Kilimo Tanzania
Conduct crop monitoring and early warning, maintain strategic food reserves and promote appropriate post-harvest techniques, and
