KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER AT CRDB Bank

• Develop operations plans that will lead to increased market share in selected key economic sectors and portfolio diversification.
• Ensure alignment of technology transformation with changing and diverse customer needs.
• Using data analytics, develop products, channels, and marketing campaigns that align with the needs of your target customers.
• Design and maintain a robust customer management system that facilitates effective acquisition, retention, engagement, and ongoing service.
• Monitor market trends, provide regular analysis of competitors and draw insights to inform management decisions.
• Implementing sound business practices with a focus on maintaining a quality loan portfolio, low non-performing loans, competitive interest rates and a sound profit and loss account.
• Proactively assess business risks and financial, human and technical resources within the directorate and ensure that they are monitored and reduced.
• Identification and reporting of potential and actual money laundering risks, including suspicious transactions as directed by the Financial Intelligence Unit, anti-money laundering and KYC procedures in the country.

• Develop and monitor adherence to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national and international regulations and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Preparing and monitoring usage and reporting to the Board of Directors on short and long-term financial plans, including the annual operating budget.
• Preparing standard and customized performance reports for the Commercial Directorate and submitting them to the executive management, board committees and regulatory bodies.
• Defining and sequencing overall goals and key performance indicators and managing employee performance effectively.

• Building and maintaining relationships with major clients, collaborators, promoters, partners, vendors, banking industry executives, shareholders and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

• 10 years proven experience in banking, three of which must be in a senior management position in a medium to large entity.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in corporate and/or retail banking.
• Demonstrable competence in implementing strategy, financial management and analytics.
• Outstanding leadership capabilities such as leading change, building strong teams, and coaching for high performance.
• Excellent interpersonal, decision-making and problem-solving skills; And
• University graduate from a recognized institution. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
