About Azam Federation Cup | Azam Federation cup results and fixtures

The Azam Sports Federation Cup is the premiere knockout tournament in Tanzanian football. Previously, the Nyerere Cup was the first tournament by knockout. It was created in 1974 and fought by teams from both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar Islands.

History shows that Yanga was the first team to win the title in the 2015/16 season. He got it after defeating Azam 3-1 in the final. But since Yanga was the Tanzania Premier League champion at the time, he allowed the rivals to enter to represent the FA Cup.
