Job Opportunity at TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY

The Red Cross Society of Tanzania is looking for dynamic people to fill in Fewer vacancies as mentioned bellow:

Workplace First Aid Coordinator (WOFA) (1 position)

Duty station: TRCS Headquarters, Dar es Salaam

Reports to: The Secretary General.

Age limit: Not more than 45 years old.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 Translating and implementing the goals and plans of the WOFA project.

 Coordinating the preparation, publication and implementation of the WOFA marketing strategy

Coordinating the preparation, dissemination and implementation of the WOFA policy

 Create and maintain a WOFA client database.

 Recruit new WOFA clients and maintain existing clients

Introducing and marketing WOFA products to the market

 Support the effective use of resources, including the allocation of profits to beneficiaries.

 Provide supervision and direction to regional teams in accordance with project planning and implementation procedures.

 Work with other TRCS team members to maintain WOFA as a fundraising tool for organizational development

 Organizing, facilitating and coordinating capacity building of staff and volunteers in WOFA Marketing.

Mobilize resources (human resources and guidelines) to implement project activities

 Support all project areas/sites for the effective implementation of the First Aid Training Support Project in Disaster Preparedness and Response.

Promote teamwork and unity among WOFA staff/volunteers and other TRCS staff

 Support effective feedback to the WOFA unit through regular reporting and project evaluation.

 Initiate and maintain transparent communications. Appropriately communicate project/unit information through management meetings.

 Manage operational responsibilities, budget, general finance and unit/project activities.

 Support the dissemination of the Red Cross Movement’s mandate to stakeholders and client engagement and support

 Plan and control the resources allocated to effectively achieve the unit’s quality and productivity objectives.

 Collect, classify and review performance data that includes financial reports, activity reports and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure WOFA unit productivity, goal achievement,

and overall effectiveness.

 Work with the PMERL unit to plan, monitor, evaluate and evaluate the performance of the unit.

 Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by his/her supervisor.

 Able to advise and assess cause/effect to support business decision making

Work requirements:

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Project,

Administration, Business Administration, or Health Services Administration

• At least four (4 years) experience in a related field in the public and/or private sectors

Must have two years in a managerial position.

• Must have comprehensive knowledge, understanding and experience with donor funded projects.

• High level of communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people in

all levels.

• Ability to supervise, train and train staff in relevant skills.

• Self-motivated with integrity and a high level of confidentiality.

• Be able to demonstrate the ability to be comfortable in leading teams and willing to work proactively

Contribute to the team.

• Experience working in a professional services environment desirable
