The ongoing Revolution Cup at the New Aman Complex Stadium in Zanzibar has now reached the semi-final stage after starting in groups and finding eight teams that qualified for the quarter-final stage and now four teams have been found and qualified for the semi-final stage of the competition which has been attractive very much.

Below are the four teams that have successfully reached the Semi-Final stage of Mapinduzi CUP 2023-2024
1. Simba SC – Tanzania
2. Mrandege Fc – Zanzibar
3. Singida FG – Tanzania
4. APR FC – Rwanda
After the tough competition of the quarter-final stage, we now expect to witness the Semi-final competition, which is expected to be played over two days, meaning that only one match will be played per day.

ABOUT MAPINDUZI CUP

Mapinduzi Cup is a knockout football tournament in Zanzibar. Revolution in the sense of Revolution in recognition of the Zanzibar Revolution.

Mapinduzi Cup is a competition created by the Zanzibar Football Federation to celebrate the day of the Zanzibar Revolution which is celebrated every year on January 12.

This competition was held for the first time in 1998. However, the cup is played between Zanzibari clubs and clubs from mainland Tanzania.

Since 2013 clubs from Kenya and Uganda have been invited to participate regularly. Along with the Zanzibar Cup and the Nyerere Cup, the three championships are the main knockouts in the islands of Zanzibar.
