In the newly issued NIRF Rankings 2022 for the best universities in India, IISc Bangalore has once again taken the top spot. In the NIRF Ranking, Jawaharlal Nehru University ranks second, followed by Jamia Millia Islamia at number three, Jadavpur University in Kolkata at number four, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Coimbatore at number five.

The majority of the universities that made it into the top 10 are the same as those who were ranked in 2021. The varsity moved up from number 13 in 2021 to position 9 in 2022, indicating a considerable improvement for Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, from the previous year.

IISc Bangalore, one of the greatest institutions in India for cutting-edge scientific and technical research and teaching, has topped the NIRF Ranking 2021 with a massive overall score of 83.57.
