Sassa Payment Dates For December 2022

A National State of Disaster was declared by the President as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this context, he proposed a special Covid 19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month for six months, which will be given to people who are now jobless and receive no other income, social grants, UIF payments, etc.

The Regulations enacted pursuant to Section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002): Measures to prevent and combat the spread of COVID-19, as modified, confirmed the Social Relief of Distress Program.

• Grants for Seniors will start to be paid on December 1, 2022.
• Disability Grant payments will begin on December 2, 2022.
• From December 3, 2022, all other grants will start to be paid.
