Accountability and Responsibilities
• Maintain absolute customer focus, keeping the customer fully informed of progress and effectively managing their expectations through accurate tracking reports, relevant, reliable, continuous communication, interaction and convenience.
• Handle customer complaints quickly and professionally in coordination with the main account holder / business development
• Close financial control of trip management and planning to ensure timely cash flow for drivers and all associated service providers.
• Accurate fuel allocation and accounting according to company procedures.
• Ensure that drivers are properly informed, managed and driven throughout the journey and assess all security risks. Ensure that you do everything reasonably practicable to avoid, eliminate or mitigate unacceptable risks.
• Ensure that vehicle malfunctions are reported clearly and concisely, and ensure prompt and thorough investigations into accidents/accidents.
• Diligent driver management, ensuring driver KPIs are accurately assessed and recorded while ensuring all areas of improvement are fully checked and corrected according to company procedures
• Trip monitoring and vehicle tracking must be implemented seriously and consistently, ensuring that there are no avoidable delays and that drivers are well informed of their progress and adhere to the trip management plan.
• SAP and TMS management systems must be properly completed and updated accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure that all flights are legally compliant, that all documentation requirements are met and documentation required for billing is properly processed.
• Line Manager of the Assistant Fleet Manager assigned to you: Ensure strong leadership, effective management and appropriate delegation. Compile x2 performance appraisal reports for management review.
• Act as the General Assistant to the Operations Manager who seeks continuous improvement and promotion of best practices among the Operations team as well as assisting key account managers to search for merchandise for the fleet. Ensure you create trusted contacts for clearance, government and customers.

EDUCATION SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

• A minimum of an upper university degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience in transport/logistics services support
• Lean Six Sigma (desirable)
• Project management (desirable)
• Business Administration (desirable)
• Safety management (desirable)
• Leadership skills to motivate and inspire team members
• Clear communication skills that ensure clear and frank information
• Strong management skills that ensure efficient use of resources
• Computer literacy to effectively operate and process online management systems
• Impeccable management skills to ensure accurate and efficient procedures
• Problem-solving skills to ensure that obstacles to progress are overcome
