Goals
- To ensure that security is embedded in the IT system and network infrastructure (mobile and repair) including planning, design, implementation and operational phases of the product life cycle as well as all shutdown requirements and leading tactical implementation of the cybersecurity strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Define, analyze and periodically review the cybersecurity strategy and roadmap based on the evolving threat landscape and ensure that the identified risks are mitigated
- Create implementation strategies focused on embedding cybersecurity controls into existing supply chain systems engineering practices and methodologies to enhance effectiveness.
- Fulfill key customer commitments and stakeholder expectations regarding cyber security by ensuring all new projects or products are addressed through the Security and Privacy by Design and Assurance (SPDA) process.
- Define, efficiently implement and maintain cybersecurity baseline controls and requirements via Vodacom technology.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for cyber security in all areas of Vodacom technology.
- Manage the organization of cybersecurity engineers and work closely with cybersecurity specialists/officers (CSO) focused on identifying intelligence-led enabling solutions through security customization for business-specific portfolios.
- Develop cybersecurity controls and requirements for IT systems and networks (mobile and repair) by ensuring close working relationships and cooperation between CSO, Cyber Prevent, Cyber Defense and the Cyber Security Engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with cyber security controls for new and existing systems.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness of proposed recommendations for cyber security solutions by working closely with the Cyber Demand team.
- Recommend major upgrades when appropriate and liaise with Cyber Prevention and Defense teams when making upgrades especially if they affect the design/architecture of the system
- Providing cyber security consultancy for technology and business projects
- Provide technical oversight and direction to the CSO and Cyber Prevent team.
- Provide CSO SME input to cyber security policy requirements and procedures considering the prevailing conditions in each BU portfolio.
- Support cyber security awareness programs and educational efforts by collaborating closely with security awareness resources and addressing specific BU portfolio needs and requirements.
- Assist first responders to cyber security related incidents by providing input into a comprehensive post-event analysis workshop/workshops.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on architectural solutions and risk outcomes and suggest remedial and mitigation options.
