Before NECTA was formally constituted by law in 1973 and after Tanzania Mainland withdrew from the East African Examinations Council in 1971, all exams were administered by the Ministry of Education’s Curriculum and Examinations Section. As a result of NECTA’s founding, it is now legally responsible for the Examinations. Up until 1975, when it was taken over by the newly founded, independent Institute of Curriculum Development (ICD), which in 1993 changed its name to the Tanzania Institute of Education, the Curriculum remained under the control of the Ministry of Education and the University College, Dar es Salaam (TIE).

The first employees of NECTA were hired between 1972 and 1976, and Mr. P. P. Gandye was one of them. He was hired in 1972 and then made executive secretary in 1994. The other staff members were still being hired, particularly when NECTA’s headquarters were transferred from the Ministry of Education Headquarters to the current location at Kijitonyama close to Mwenge. More than 250 people work with NECTA at the moment.

• All results will be displayed in the “Results” window.

• Choose “Year,” in this case 2022.
• Results from the ACSEE are now available to students.
• The list of schools will be shown.
• To learn more about the school you attended, click on the appropriate letter of the alphabet, such as “A” for Arusha High School or “M” for Musoma Technical Secondary School.
