NCEA results for the roughly 160,000 pupils who took the exam last year are awaited. Due to the effects of the Covid-19 lockdown, this year’s exams were delayed by two weeks, and fewer students showed up to take them.

Students most affected by lockdown received confidence that they could still obtain a grade even if they were unable to attend thanks to the Unexpected Event Grade procedure.

Students skipped 43.2% of external exams in Northland, Auckland, and Waikato, compared to 10.7% in the same regions in 2020.

In comparison to 11.5 percent in 2020, 27.3 percent of students nationwide were absent.

Although NZQA usually expects students to show up for exams, Gray said, “we believed Covid-19 would have a significant impact on attendance.”

Andrea Gray, executive vice president of assessment at NZQA, reported that the examination procedure as a whole proceeded according to schedule.

She said, “Students worked incredibly hard to overcome the lockdown’s effects, with exceptional support provided by teachers and whnau.

“Like in recent years, the NZQA student portal is quite busy, but there have been no delays in students being able to check their results.”

NCEA Results 2022 Check Online

Around 750,000 personalized exam booklets and digital exam submissions have been marked, and students can obtain results starting on Thursday via the NZQA website. In addition to their test results, students can view their learning recognition credits (LRCs) earned, course endorsements, certificate endorsements, and university entrance status.
