JOB TITTLE: Harvest Supervisor

Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of Harvest Supervisors. The role holder will be responsible for supervising the field harvesters of tomatoes and watermelons on Taffeta Farms.

Basic Tasks

• Field supervision of tomato and melon harvesters to ensure product is harvested according to Twiga Foods specifications.
• Coordinate field harvest teams to achieve individual harvest goals and maintain cost per kilogram targets.
• For all harvesting equipment, keeping records of the equipment used and returning it to storage daily such as bins and weighing scales.
• Work closely with harvest reorders to maintain product traceability and accurate weights per field and harvest per person.
• Train and develop harvest teams to maintain and improve operational efficiency.
• Work closely with the tomato manager and melon manager on forecasting crops and weekly labor requirements.
• Report multi-role attendance through HR to the Packhouse workforce.
• Training and development of the harvest team for continuous improvement.
• Maintain good working relationships for employees and a high level of health and safety. Latest Jobs in Kenya

JOB TITTLE: Packhouse Technician

Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of Packhouse Technician. The role holder will be responsible for the maintenance of all electrical systems at Tavita Farms.

Basic Tasks

• For the smooth operation of all Packhouse equipment. For all grading and cutting lines for each crop to be the best operating condition.
• Provide a preventative maintenance schedule with maximum uptime for Packhouse supervisors to grade and pack product with minimal disruption.
• Work closely with the engineering department regarding maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Work closely with equipment manufacturers to ensure smooth grading and packaging operations.
• Maintaining a high level of health and safety for all in the workshop’s operational environment.

Minimum qualifications and experience

1. Diploma in Agricultural Engineering
2. At least 5 years of experience in agricultural packaging maintenance

JOB TITTLE: Harvest Recorders

Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of Harvest Recorder. The role holder will be responsible for recording all data from the field combine harvesters at Tavita Farms.

Basic Tasks

• Accurately measure each harvest and weigh the product from the field.
• Recording the weights of individual combines from the field.
• Compilation of the Harvest Supervisor’s daily harvest report to report to the Packhouse for produce delivery and the farm office for remuneration related to the combine harvesters.
• Monitor the final quality of the harvested product and regularly inform the harvest supervisor during the day of any challenges found.
• Maintain good working relationships for employees and a high level of health and safety.

Basic Tasks

• Regular assessment of every hectare planted of each crop for pests and diseases.
• Provide a visual assessment of the state of irrigation and crop nutrition
• Timely reporting of the presence or absence of problems within the crop
• Crop protection technician support with reliable data to prepare weekly crop protection plan.
