700 Job Opportunities in Prison Services in Tanzania

Tanzania Prisons a Tanzania police unit whose one of the main tasks is to deal with prisoners and informants. For a long time Tanzania has been benefiting from the presence of security forces including prisons.

In accordance with the government’s strategy to enhance its performance, it has provided job opportunities for various ministries and government institutions in various positions according to their needs.

In this context, the Commissioner-General of Prisons, Major General Suleiman Manjia Mazieh, announces 700 vacancies to join the Prisons Authority in 2021 for those who hold Model IV certificates and for those with different professions/skills as set out in this announcement.

(a) Qualifications of the applicant for the Form IV educational Level;

► Become a Tanzanian
► Must have completed the fourth form and passed the fourth grade (28-28 points)
► You must be between 18-25 years old
► Be healthy
► Be in training or have already graduated from National Construction Army Training (JKT)
Not be a government employee
► Not married
► Be disciplined, ethical and have never been convicted in a court of law and have never been imprisoned
► At least 5 feet 4 feet tall for women and 5 feet 7 feet for men

(b) the applicant’s qualifications for (higher education qualifications)/skills;

► Become a Tanzanian
► You must be between 18 and 33 years old
► Be healthy
► Be in training or have already qualified for the JKT Nation Building Army Training (Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa)
► Not have been employed by the government
► Not married
► Be disciplined, ethical and have never been convicted in a court of law and have never been imprisoned
► At least 5 feet 4 feet tall for women and 5 feet 7 feet for men

For those who have the qualifications/skills, they must have a profession in the areas specified in Appendix No. 1 attached to this announcement.

Copy of birth certificate
A copy of the fourth or sixth degree graduation certificate
A copy of the graduation certificate
Good health certificate from a government doctor

Four (4) passport-sized photographs
Copies of relevant professional/skills certificate recognized by educational authorities in the country (for those with the profession/skills)
